You’ve picked a date, you’ve found the perfect spot for your ceremony and reception. Now you need the right entertainment to make the night complete.

Call On Dial A Hit Mobile Entertainment.

Our experienced disc jockeys will work with you to create the right atmosphere for your reception and help you throw a great party to celebrate your wedding day.

With over 5,000 hit songs to choose from, we can play a little bit of something for everyone. Our 1200 watt sound system including wireless microphones ensures that the guests in the back of the room will hear the toasts - without blasting the people in the front of the room out of their seats.

Our Personal Service Guarantee means you’ll always meet in advance with the same people who will be performing at your wedding - not meeting with an office manager who might not pass along important details to someone else. Plus, using our online planning tools, you can organize the reception and request list at your convenience. We can even set up online Guest Requests to let your bridal party and family pick out special songs.

We never forget that this is your day. That’s why you won’t see us running around the room with silly props. You’re the star of this show. We’re here to help you pull it off without breaking a sweat.

Why are Dial A Hit Weddings so special?

We’re big on pre-planning. First, we get you started with our online tools so you can plan your big day at your convenience. Save your work and return to it anytime up until the day before your wedding. Second, we meet with you in advance in person. If you’re from out of town, we set up a conference call. We’ll talk over your plans and make sure that we understand what you want your reception to be like.

On your wedding day, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, we’ll make sure everything goes according to plan, and if you have any last minute ideas we’ll work those in, too. We’ll take care of the entertainment - you just have the time of your life and enjoy the company of your family and friends.

Ceremonies, Too!

If you're having the wedding ceremony at the same location as the reception, we can have a separate sound system set up for the ceremony, with traditional classical music and a wireless microphone for the officiant.  (Need a minister?  We'll help you find one through the Texas Association of Wedding Officiants.)

If you're still undecided on where to hold your wedding reception, here's some suggestions on how to evaluate and select the right venue:

  • Is it reasonably close to where you're holding the ceremony?
  • Is it equipped to handle as large of a group as you're planning?  If you end up having to invite more people than initally planned, is there room to expand?
  • If you're planning an outdoor reception, how stable is the ground?  (One of the things I remember from my own wedding was having my chair slowly sink into the ground while I tried to eat.)
  • Is there enough space for dinner and dancing in the same room?  Having to move your guests from room to room disrupts the flow of the reception.

Historic homes are very beautiful, but they're not necessarily equipped with the right facilities for your reception.  Let's take two historic homes in Galveston: Ashton Villa and Moody Mansion.

Ashton Villa has set up a large banquet room that can easily accomodate a wedding party.  There's a kitchen for your caterer to use.  There's a small stage with plenty of power for the disc jockey.  There's ample space for dinner seating and a good sized dance floor.  The lights in the room can be dimmed.  This is an excellent place to hold a wedding reception, and the gazebo outside would be a great place for a ceremony.

Moody Mansion is a museum first and an event venue second.  Most of the space inside the mansion is roped off (including parts of the rooms that you will use) and your guests will be admonished frequently to not touch anything by the staff.  There's no kitchen for the caterer to use; all food will have to be prepared off-site and brought in.  There's not enough space to have dancing and dinner in the same room for a party larger than about 15 - 20, which means you will need to rent an additional room on a different floor to dance. Restrooms are on a different floor, accessible only by a steep, narrow stairwell.  Frankly, Moody Mansion should stick to being a museum.  That's what they do best.

Before you fall in love with a reception site, make sure that they can properly handle the size of your party!  Banquet halls and hotels may not have the history of an old mansion, but they have the right kitchen, electrical, and restroom facilities, and the rooms are built for the purpose that you will use them for, which will lead to a much smoother reception overall.

I appreciate all you did to make (my daughter's Sweet 16) party such a hit. There wasn't a kid there that did not have a great time!
